Temporary sound attack change that last under 1 minute - Nora - October 26, 2025 I have tinnitus in one of my ears. I noticed that once in a while, I start to feel some pressure change and I get this temporary sound attack. It sounds like another tinnitus kicks in at a totally different frequency, much lower. I definitely feel different and naively hopeful. This new sound attack mutes my original tinnitus and lasts no more than 1 minute. It then just goes away and my original tinnitus is back. While it is happening I am always hopeful that my body is responding in some healing matter, but it never happens. It does feel good because of the muting effect, but it cures nothing. I always feel hopeful because I feel that my brain is trying to do something here. But it doesn't fix it. This is not something that happens often, maybe once every few weeks. I made up the term 'sound attack' but that is the only way I can describe it. The only other term I can think of is 'secondary tinnitus' or maybe 'new tinnitus'. If there is someone out there with similar experiences I would love to hear. RE: Temporary sound attack change that last under 1 minute - FadeToGrey - November 25, 2025 Intresting. When this temporary change happens, does it change in pressure by any chance? |
