Venous tinnitus - winterbaby - December 22, 2025 I have been dealing with what I thought was pulsatile tinnitus for almost a year now and it has been exhausting. I am still searching for answers and starting to wonder if this could be a venous hum possibly caused or made worse by inflammation and stress. Has anyone else experienced this or found anything that helped? I am trying to stay positive and hopeful that one day I will be able to come back and share a success story. RE: Venous tinnitus - Leo - January 3, 2026 It might be a good idea for them to see an ENT doctor. An ENT (Ear, Throat, Nose) can perform a detailed ear and neck exam and listen with a stethoscope over the ear, neck, or skull to try to hear the sound themselves. They may also use maneuvers like having the patient change head position or gently compress certain veins to see if the sound changes. If needed, the ENT can order imaging such as a Doppler ultrasound, MRI, or CT angiography to check for vascular causes. It might be objective tinnitus. |
