Howdy! I am currently experimenting with GABA to try and cure my tinnitus. I have been reading that it may help calm overactive neural signals in the auditory system, and some people claim it reduces the intensity of ringing after a few weeks of consistent use. So far I have noticed slight changes, especially at night when things are usually the worst, but it is hard to tell if it is the supplement or just placebo. I am taking a moderate dose daily and trying to track patterns like sleep quality and stress levels alongside it. Has anyone here actually had long term success with GABA for tinnitus? How long did it take before you noticed real improvement, if any? Also curious if stacking it with magnesium or other supplements made a difference for you.
