Moving my jaw

I have been moving my jaw and I am noticing some changes in the pitch, but not necessarily the loudness.  Anyone else out there with similar experience?

I tried this.  It acts as a filter meaning that I hear like the sound is muffled.  I don't think it changes the pitch, at least for me.
