I want to share my experience in case it helps someone else or if anyone has gone through something similar.
Some months ago, I began adjusting my diet to see if it would affect my tinnitus. I tried removing caffeine, sugar, alcohol, sodium, and artificial sweeteners. I took my time and removed these items gradually, spacing the changes out by a few weeks each time.
After about five months, I noticed a small improvement. It was not dramatic, but it gave me some hope.
Then life became stressful again, and I slipped back into old habits. The tinnitus seemed to return, although I could not tell if it was the diet or simply the stress. I did not feel strong enough at that point to cut out all those items again.
I hope to try this approach once more when things settle down. If anyone has had a similar experience with tinnitus being affected by diet or stress, I would be interested to hear about it.
