Billions of people believe in God and in the possibility of miracles, even though none of it can be scientifically proven. When I got tinnitus, I went to a few charismatic churches out of desperation and asked people to pray for me, but nothing changed. Yet I keep hearing stories from others who say prayer cured them of addictions, illnesses, or other problems.
Has anyone here actually felt their tinnitus improve after praying? I’m not a strong Christian, but I still find myself praying sometimes. It gives me moments of relief, but the problems always come back, which makes me doubt everything - until I eventually try praying again.
Maybe it’s self-suggestion, mental effects, or something else. All I know is that prayer hasn’t taken my tinnitus away, even though many people prayed for me.
So can strong belief really help? Can prayer ease tinnitus, or does it mostly lead to disappointment when nothing happens? I’ve met people who say God healed them, and I can’t figure out what’s really going on.
