Hi everyone,
I'm looking for some advice on dealing with tinnitus over the Christmas period. I'm a bit torn between trying to relax at home in quieter environments, which can make my tinnitus more noticeable, and staying busy or socialising, which helps with distraction but can mean more sound exposure and fatigue.
With more downtime over Christmas, the quiet can sometimes increase my awareness of tinnitus, but too much activity or noise can also feel risky. I’m not sure what the best balance is.
How do you personally manage this time of year? Do you prefer calm and rest, or keeping background noise and activity going? I'd really appreciate hearing what's worked for others and any tips for getting through the holidays.
Thanks, and wishing everyone the best over Christmas.
